Venture funding in Malaysia

I talked to a couple of friends and we all kinda agreed that Malaysia internet startup scene is in a such sad state. I know that there’s so many good ideas flowing out there from these young budding technopreneurs but most of them have a hard time getting any funding to even get them started. Most of the tech VCs are in the silicon valleys. We have a couple here in Malaysia, but of course, all of them are extremely risk averse. If they get proposal with a preceived risk of more than 2% , they’ll probably just shit their pants. (Of course I’m exaggerating)
